Dental bonding makes a great alternative to getting veneers. It is often used to restore teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored or misaligned.

HOW DOES DENTAL BONDING WORK?

Dental bonding is a one-visit solution to fixing minor tooth maladies. The process involves etching the tooth’s surface and applying a bonding liquid to it. After the liquid has set, we use a plastic resin to sculpt the bond, after which point we can trim, smooth out and polish the resin to create a more natural fit in the tooth.

WHAT YOU NEED TO CONSIDER

Dental bonding is a semi permanent solution, which means it generally won’t last more than 5 years. The resin used for dental bonding is also not as strong as natural teeth and ceramics, so can stain, chip and even break. It is however a quick and easy solution that dramatically improves the appearance of the tooth.
